I'm Gina. An inspired watercolor painter and paper lover, living and crafting in Fairfield, Connecticut. After studying Graphic Design at Paier College of Art, I began a career in the fine stationery and invitation industry by managing the paper department at Blue Tulip, a gift and stationery boutique in Canton, Connecticut. I knew from this point on that my future would be in stationery design. I spent two years immersed in greeting cards, thank you notes, stationery and invitations created by amazing artists from around the world. After getting married, the timing was right to move to New York City and further my knowledge in the business. I took a position as head Graphic Designer and Retail Manager at Mr. Boddington's Studio, a letterpress stationer. There, I was able to learn about the wholesale printing and production side as well as the intricacies of retail and private client relationships. I soon realized that I needed to dig up my watercolors and (attempt!) to paint my way into the industry. With a lot of advice and support I practiced my watercolor painting technique and starting combining my artwork with digital type and graphic layout. Once ready to settle into a house and start a family back in Connecticut, I ventured out on my own and started Freckle Paper, a stationery and custom invitation studio. For five years, with the help of my little etsy shop, I was happily able to create watercolor invitations for lovely clients all over the country. Now, with two daughters, a new house and the generous and genuine support of my husband, I'm starting a new creative chapter with watercolor art and packaged paper goods– with the same handprinted, handcrafted love as always.
